Every child who travels with HCPT goes for free. We believe finance should not be a barrier to going on pilgrimage.
Therefore throughout the year all of us, our families, friends, and benefactors are busy fundraising.
It costs over £1000 for a child to enjoy a week in Lourdes. We normally travel with eight children, and subsidise our student helpers fares. So our annual fundraising total exceeds £10,000!
Every year the cost of the trip goes up and every year we find new ways to raise enough money to ensure that no child is disappointed and unable to travel to Lourdes with Group 154.
Our fundraising efforts have been varied from cake sales to Paul cycling to Lourdes from Oxford! We owe a special message of gratitude to Tesco who through their Pound for Pound fundraising scheme matches the funds raised at the annual 154 pub quiz.
Also a big Thank You to the very generous couple from Eastbourne who asked their wedding guests to donate to group 154 instead of buying wedding gifts which raised £2395!
Back by popular demand. The 154 Christmas pudding!
